Half-Time in the Human Brain Project
NRW economics minister Prof. Dr. Pinkwart meets researchers from the large-scale European project at Forschungszentrum Jülich
Jülich, 4 October 2018 – Five years ago, the Human Brain Project – one of the largest projects ever to be funded by the EU – was launched. In its efforts to achieve breakthroughs in understanding the human brain, the project aims to systematically combine neuroscience and high-performance computing technologies. To mark the halfway point of the project’s EU funding period, scientists from the project met at Forschungszentrum Jülich on 4 October for an event attended by Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, Minister of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization, and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, to look back on the project’s successes and examine the current challenges.
