Strengthening Neutron Research in Europe – Jülich Becomes 9th LENS Member
Liblice/Jülich, 29 March 2019. The League of advanced European Neutron Sources (LENS) held its first General Assembly in Liblice, Czech Republic, on Tuesday, 26 March. At the assembly, the LENS members agreed to collaborate more closely on technological developments, innovations, data, training, and strategies related to the use of neutrons.
Through closer coordination between the partners and an improved use of resources, LENS aims to support the user community and strengthen research using neutrons in Europe. Forschungszentrum Jülich, which had previously been represented in the consortium through its stake in the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching, has now joined LENS as a member institution.
