Science and Structural Change: Vice-Chancellor Visits Forschungszentrum Jülich
Jülich, 8 August 2019 – German Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Olaf Scholz visited Forschungszentrum Jülich today together with Dietmar Nietan, member of the German Bundestag for the Düren district.
The visit focused on Jülich’s contributions to structural change in the Rhineland region. Together with companies, civil society, and local authorities, Jülich’s researchers want to make a substantial contribution to transforming this former coal-mining region into a model region for the transformation of the energy sector (Energiewende).
