Artificial Intelligence Helps Us to Better Understand Schizophrenia

Jülich, 3 December 2019 – Schizophrenia patients differ considerably from each other in their various symptoms, which range from social withdrawal to impaired memory and hallucinations. With the aid of artificial intelligence, Jülich brain researchers have now established a generally applicable system of categorization for the symptoms of schizophrenia. The new findings could in future enable treatments that are better tailored to the individual patients.
