Low-Emission Mobility: StreetScooter Expands Jülich’s Fleet of Vehicles
Jülich, 4 December 2019 – Now, there is a new environmentally friendly way of getting around Forschungszentrum Jülich: the “StreetScooter”. The electrically powered vehicle will be used for transporting post and goods around the campus in future. “Forschungszentrum Jülich has decided to ditch the old transport vehicle and switch to a low-emission alternative instead,” said Karsten Beneke, deputy chairman of the Board of Directors of Forschungszentrum Jülich, as he received the key for the “Work L Box” model. More electrically powered utility vehicles are planned to follow the first StreetScooter, with the entire fleet potentially being changed over in the medium term.
