ISC’12: NVIDIA and Forschungszentrum Jülich have founded “NVIDIA Application Lab”

Hamburg / Jülich, 19 June 2012 – Forschungszentrum Jülich and NVIDIA intend to work together on accelerating scientific simulations in the field of neuroscience by using graphics processors. They announced the foundation of the “NVIDIA Application Lab” at the start of the biggest European supercomputing fair ISC’12 running from 17 to 21 June in Hamburg. In the lab, experts from NVIDIA and the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) will also optimize applications from other fields such as astrophysics, particle physics, materials science and the life sciences for supercomputers with graphics processors.
