High-Temperature Energy Storage of Tomorrow
Jülich, 19 September 2012 - Increasing the proportion of energy from renewable sources requires the storage of large amounts of energy. In the MeMO project, funded with € 4.5 million from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Jülich scientists will therefore conduct research on the potential of novel high-temperature batteries based on compounds of metals and metal oxides. The parliamentary state secretary in BMBF, Thomas Rachel MdB, visited Forschungszentrum Jülich today for the launch of the project
