Human Brain Project: Launch in Lausanne

Jülich, 7 October 2013 – Pooling existing knowledge on the human brain and using highly accurate detailed simulations to improve our understanding even further: this is the aim of the visionary Human Brain Project (HBP), which was officially launched today. Scientists from the some 135 research institutions involved in the project – including Jülich – were at the event marking the official kick-off of the project in Lausanne. At the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), they presented the work planned for the next few years to the general public.
