CO2 – From Climate Killer to Chemical Raw Material
Jülich, 25 April 2017 – You take the harmful greenhouse gas carbon dioxide and convert it by means of renewable electricity into a universal basis for the production of fuels as well as for the chemical industry: this in a nutshell is the aim of a group of procedures also referred to as co-electrolysis. In the journal Angewandte Chemie, Jülich scientists report about the current status of development of this power-to-X concept, which is one of the key topics of research for the P2X Kopernikus project.
