Important Milestone in 1000BRAINS Study
Jülich, 24 May 2018 – In early May, one of the most extensive data collections in Germany on the ageing brain was completed. This simultaneously marked the beginning of an intensive analysis of this wealth of data. Within the framework of the 1000BRAINS study, researchers from Jülich conducted brain measurements over the last six and a half years on around 1,300 (mostly elderly) people. The central questions of the study are: what characterizes “normal” ageing of the brain and what factors influence this process?
