Cooperation Intensified with Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Jülich, 13 July 2011 – The President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China, Prof. Jie Zhang, visited Forschungszentrum Jülich today in order to intensify cooperation between the two institutions. Together with Jülich's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prof. Achim Bachem, he signed an extension to the existing framework agreement on research cooperation. This supplement is primarily intended to clarify legal issues for research projects now in their early stages as well as joint support for young scientists in the fields of nanotechnology, photovoltaics and nuclear waste management.
