ORPHEUS Project to Improve Fire Protection in Underground Stations

Jülich, 26 June 2015 - The Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) is coordinating ORPHEUS, a project concerned with optimizing smoke and personnel removal in underground stations, using experiments and simulations to improve safety in complex multi-storey underground stations in case of fire. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will fund ORPHEUS for three years.
