Svenja Caspers Becomes a New Member of acatech

Prof. Svenja Caspers has become a new member of the German National Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech). The scientist from the Jülich Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine (INM-1) is one of 25 researchers who were elected by the members at the acatech General Assembly in October and who accepted their appointment. acatech is funded by the German federal and state governments and is the voice of the engineering sciences in Germany and abroad. It advises policymakers and society on technology-related issues, including in the “Life Sciences and Health” and “Digital Transformation” programmes. Membership is an honorary role, and is seen as a distinction for outstanding scientific excellence.
