Carbon-containing Membrane for Water and Gas Separation

Molecular sieve for the highly selective separation of very small molecules such as H₂ and He. The membrane offers excellent chemical and thermal stability, enabling energy-efficient solutions for hydrogen recovery, gas purification, and chemical process engineering applications.

Reopenable solar modules for easier recycling

Non-destructive disassembly of photovoltaic (PV) modules enabled by a thermally activatable sacrificial layer integrated into the edge encapsulation. This approach can significantly reduce recycling costs and facilitate the high-purity recovery of valuable module materials.

Doped Zinc Ferrite Cathode for More Durable Batteries

Doped zinc ferrite as a cathode material can improve the cycle stability and service life of rechargeable zinc batteries while maintaining high electrical conductivity. Its unchanged magnetic properties facilitate the separation and recovery of the cathode material during recycling.

Mobile Photoluminescence Inspection for Solar Modules

A mobile system, also deployable via drones, for the fast and contactless quality assessment of photovoltaic (PV) modules in large-scale installations. Precise detection of defects and performance losses without interfering with the electrical circuit simplifies maintenance, commissioning, and failure analysis.
