Miriam Menzel Receives Klaus Tschira Boost Fund

Jülich, 4 May 2021 – Dr. Miriam Menzel has received the Klaus Tschira Boost Fund with € 80,000 in funding. The scientist from Forschungszentrum Jülich will use the funding to realize polarized and scattered light imaging measurements of brain tissue with a single system and to enable more accurate mapping of nerve fibre pathways and crossings in the human brain.

Together with the German Scholars Organization, the Klaus Tschira Foundation promotes the next academic generation and supports early-career scientists in their careers through its programme. With the funding provided over a period of two years, the fellows are able to realize independent, higher-risk, interdisciplinary projects. They receive support in establishing collaborations and networks as well as specific counselling and advice. The aim is to give early-career scientists greater flexibility in shaping their career paths.
