Company Sports Association Forschungszentrum Jülich 1963 e.V.

The Company Sports Association (BSG) website is only available in German. We therefore summarised the most important information for you here in English.

The BSG and its goals

Two young men give each other a high-five outdoors. One is wearing a blue T-shirt with the words ‘Shaping change step by step. Your career at Jülich’, the other wears a red T-shirt and smiles. The scene conveys team spirit and joy.

The BSG sees its task as offering its approximately 2,200 members a wide range of sports and leisure activities under modern conditions. As the largest company sports club in the Düren district, it can cover almost all areas of popular sport in over 50 sports groups. The offer ranges from weight training, fishing and chess to sports such as Aikido, Thai Bo and Zumba.

Regular games festivals, a variety of courses and regular participation in and organization of international sports meetings with other European research institutions complete the picture because “community” is a top priority at the BSG. All activities reflect the special status of the BSG as a company sports association of the research center.

Membership

Everyone can become a member of the BSG, i.e. in addition to employees of Forschungszentrum Jülich, the BSG is open to all other persons. Membership costs between €2.50 per month for children and up to €5 for adults; the family membership fee is €12.50. Under the guidance of qualified trainers, the entire range of sports offered by the BSG can be enjoyed in over 50 sports groups.
